For Ear Sake

This summer has been the longest summer of my life. It's been full of ups and downs, tosses and

turns, and I can't say I regret any of it. After this month is over, I'll have a better understanding in

more things I could've imagined before summer hit. I'm watching who I call "friend", holding on ti-

ghter to the girl I'm in love with, and I'm more than ready to start school in two weeks. Everything

happens for a reason, and all reasons that don't make sense, will soon make sense. I feel good..

There was a time where I used to make mixes. A good friend of mine reminded me of those tim-

es. This was the first mix I ever put together, and it shows. It's still a good 30 min or so listen. I

would've never thought anyone would still have this stored somewhere, and still listened to it. T-

The internet is such a small playground to play in. It feels good to run into great artists for the s-

econd or third time randomly. I ran into this great DJ, that goes by the name of DJ Akalepse ba-

ck when I used to make music. I remember checking out some clubs in NYC that played good

tunes, and I found the club APT. He DJs there. I wanted to see what kind of material he spun,

and that's how I found out his Myspace. His stuff was great. He checked out my tunes as well,

and wanted to make music together. That ended up not happening, and I've deleted my music

page since then. I ended up running into him due to him being featured on Elion Paz's blog.

I didn't notice the name, but for some reason, something told me to google him to see if he DJs

at a few clubs. Low and behold, it ended up being the same person that I randomly found before.

I was lurking on the web, and found out Muhsinah was going to be performing tonight in Philly. Me

and my buddy V were just discussing her, listening to her music, & critiquing her "musical" haters...

I was pretty excited to have a chance to see her live, but that excitement was soon ripped away w-

hen I found out she was a poor performer. I may hold off on seeing her perform this time, not sure.

A lot has been going on for me. Some positive, but more so negative. I haven't felt like myself

for a month straight, so I'm trying to get control of things at the moment. I've neglected this blog

time and time again; who would've thought this would be the only thing that keeps me sane...
