I'm back! A lot has changed since the For Ear Sake blog began (good and bad), and I started to drift away from this blog. I felt the need for change, and I still do. However, deleting this blog is no longer an option in the name of seeking change. I wouldn't say that this blog was the beginning for me, as far as blogging goes. But, this blog gave me inspiration for not only For Ear Sake, but other projects that will be developed in the future. This blog helped me to become more organized, and I'm not ready to walk away from it. The main reason behind me wanting to delete "Never Jump the Uzi" was, music means so much to me. Music has always been in my life one way or another, and I'm currently inspired by music more than ever before. All I want to do is talk about music in some way, shape, or form. That caused an issue. I created a blog JUST for music, which leaves this blog on the lonely sideline. Also, for a while, I lost interest in a lot of the things I posted here. But, "I'm back!" I've deleted 2-3 months worth of posts that I feel aren't worthy enough for this blog. This blog WILL NOT be used for promotion towards For Ear Sake. I'm also going to post as frequent as before, as if I never skipped a beat. Thanks to the people that gave me a reason to come back. For a while, I thought this blog became irrelevant to people; I was wrong. Lastly, the comments will too be back. I'm quite sure no one will comment, but the option to do so is there. - Z

I went to see Ghostface over the weekend with "the wife". The opening acts were ass, but Ghost

killed it. Due to the bad quality, I decided not to post the pictures I took. You may have caught the

pictures I put up of the show, if you visited the blog earlier today. The show was ill nonetheless.

Its colder than a witch's tit outside. I've been wanting the chill to come through, but I'm not sure if

I wanted it this sudden. Looks like I'll be knocking the dust off of a few jackets. As for Maxwell, t-

he show was pretty good. I'd embarrass myself if I attempted to show off the pictures I took on my

iPhone. I wouldn't get away with it like I did at the Mos Def show. We were seated in the nose bl-

eed section, and 'Ol Girl forgot her digicam (again). The seats were actually good. Sitting high up

with the other El Cheapos wasn't as bad as I expected. I'll just be equipped with binoculars next

time. Mayor Hawthorne's show ended up being sold out, so it looks like I'll just be enjoying the G-

Just a month ago I was excited about the Maxwell concert. Now, not so much. I wish I could just

stay home and not worry about traveling to NYC (2 hrs away), to see a show on a Monday night.

Waking up at 7:30 AM the next day is going to be torture. Speaking of concerts, I'll be checking

out Ghostface Killah this Saturday. I'll have a digicam this time around. I'm also trying to find a w-

ay to check out Mayor Hawthorne this Friday. I heard he was a better DJ than performer though.

Car dealerships are down right dirty. I took my car to the local Nissan dealership for an issue, and

I ended up getting an oil change in the process. While looking at my car to fix the issue, they fou-

nd more serious issues that need to be fixed pronto. Cool. Thank you for informing me about the

more serious issues. Uncool. To have overly priced estimates to fix the new issues. To get 1/2 of t-

he things needed to be fixed would be priced at $850-900. I happen to have a pretty damn good

mechanic that won't exploit me, that's going to only charge me $280-ish. That's a huge difference

in price. Be cautious of where you take your car. The car dealerships are of the devil. Really. No

wonder why the Nissan waiting area is so comfortable. They attempt to keep you as comfortable as

Getting this backpack was probably the best decision I've made in a while. This bag works wond-

ers. I recommend picking one up for whoever is looking for a bag to invest in. The laptop sleeve doesn't give as much support as I'd like, but I have no real need for it. If you do have a need for the laptop sleeve, use a separate laptop sleeve, then use the sleeve included with the bag. - C/Z

If you speak to me on a personal level or even follow me on Twitter you'd know I was going to at-

tend Mos Def's show in Philly. Mos Def smashed it! He's seriously a great performer. I was stan-

ding with the Mrs for more than 5 hrs (of course she was annoyed), but it was worth everything at

the end. I forgot my damn camera, so all I have is iPhone pictures, oh well. My weekend is still on

Rearranging w/ the Seasons (Update Info)

I finally got around to updating the blog. There are some things that should be explained and

informed as for the direction the blog will be going in. There won't be any major changes as for

the content that's featured, but sharing albums will be discontinued. I no longer have the desire

to. There MAY be a positive outcome from sharing albums though. There might be a slight cha-

nce I'll create a new blog only for music. This won't be a one person project; I'll be looking for c-

ontributors. If you happen to share a love for music, and you'd like to contribute to a good cau-

se, leave a comment and we'll talk further. This is just a thought, I'm not making any promises...

So no more albums will be featured on this blog. Refer back to older "For Ear Sake" posts, som-

e albums still have active links. "For Ear Sake" was fun, and also inspired others to share music.

As for this blog, I'm more on the busier side, and updating is sometimes a challenge. I'll attempt

to update the blog at least twice a week, so stay tuned, there will be new posts when you least

expect. I know it's been a while since things have been moving around here; I just needed a p-

I've been neglectful to the blog but when a more important duty calls, you must acknowledge it.

Well I've been answering more important duties for a couple of weeks straight, so I've been really

out of the "blog loop." The most I do nowadays is update my Twitter. So if you actually have the

reason I'm even able to update on Twitter, is because I have an app for it on my iPhone. I'm wa-

This summer has been the longest summer of my life. It's been full of ups and downs, tosses and

turns, and I can't say I regret any of it. After this month is over, I'll have a better understanding in

more things I could've imagined before summer hit. I'm watching who I call "friend", holding on ti-

ghter to the girl I'm in love with, and I'm more than ready to start school in two weeks. Everything

There was a time where I used to make mixes. A good friend of mine reminded me of those tim-

es. This was the first mix I ever put together, and it shows. It's still a good 30 min or so listen. I

would've never thought anyone would still have this stored somewhere, and still listened to it. T-

The internet is such a small playground to play in. It feels good to run into great artists for the s-

econd or third time randomly. I ran into this great DJ, that goes by the name of DJ Akalepse ba-

ck when I used to make music. I remember checking out some clubs in NYC that played good

tunes, and I found the club APT. He DJs there. I wanted to see what kind of material he spun,

and that's how I found out his Myspace. His stuff was great. He checked out my tunes as well,

and wanted to make music together. That ended up not happening, and I've deleted my music

page since then. I ended up running into him due to him being featured on Elion Paz's blog.

I didn't notice the name, but for some reason, something told me to google him to see if he DJs

at a few clubs. Low and behold, it ended up being the same person that I randomly found before.

I haven't really been too fond of the whole blog thing for a while now. Don't get me wrong, I love

my blog. I'm just not all there anymore. It became a task. I kind of lost who I was (blogging wise),

in transition of getting more recognition. It turned into me posting anything to fill in space to give

visitors something to look at. I felt like there was a need to update with anything, as long as it w-

as with something. That was never my true purpose when I created this blog. My true purpose

was to attempt to blend everything I was into (including semi-personal shit) into one. I've been l-

acking in a few departments, and overdoing in others. There isn't much to blend anymore. A l-

ot of people come to me and ask, "When are you going to blog something again?" - Things like

that bring pressure. There's not enough balance if everything is done based on pressure right?

So, a balance is what I need, and currently aiming for. So please don't think I fell off the face of

the Blogsphere when I don't update for 1/2 a week or more. Take is as I'm taking things one da-

y at a time, so I can continue to keep this spot as balanced as I possibly can.

This past weekend was extra long. I felt like I was running around like a chicken with its head cut

off. I went out to Seaside Heights a few times, and did the beach bum thing, & then I went over

to NYC for 3 hectic meet ups that I was late for (due to NJ Transit). Good thing I was meeting up

with pretty cool people. I also didn't end up having to wait a full hour to catch the train back to NJ

after everything was said and done. Back to being a beach bum though. I faced my fears when it

comes to the ocean. I haven't been in the ocean since I was about 8 or 9 years old, but I manag-

ed to put everything to the side, and jump head first into crashing waves. I feel ashamed to say I

was pretty skeptical of getting in the water. That's all history now. I'm also happy I finally stopped

sleeping, and picked up a wireless Xbox Live adapter. I was just about to sell my Xbox off too..

I decided to run my updates today, and one of the updates was Safari 4.0 (I believe). The new

Macs already have the newer Safari. So, if you're on dinosaur mode like myself, I highly sugg-

est you run your updates. The new "Top Sites" feature makes the net 10x easier. The only thing

I really don't get is, why is the dirty Russian's blog on my top sites? I rarely ever visit that blog...

Other than the new Safari.. I caught myself blasting Luther Vandross's fifth album, "Give Me the

Reason." Not only was the album released the same year I was born (1986), I also grew up on

his music. My mom's probably the biggest Luther Vandross fan I'll most likely encounter. I gue-

ss the things our parents bring us up on pass over. The album might find its way onto the blog.
